We’re excited to share a major milestone—filming for Crocodopolis is officially complete!
The road to this moment was anything but easy. Filming was postponed multiple times, permits proved incredibly difficult to secure, and coordinating the crew for one last trip felt nearly impossible. But in a rare moment of alignment, everything came together just in time. Earlier this month, the team returned to Lake Nasser and captured the final, essential scenes to complete the film.
This achievement marks a turning point for the project, and we couldn’t be prouder of what’s been accomplished so far. It brings us one step closer to sharing the story of the Nile crocodile, its threatened habitat, and the people working to protect it.
We’re now moving into post-production and gearing up for an exciting phase of editing, outreach, and impact campaigning.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make this happen: our crowdfunding contributors, Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, WildLens Collective, Nature Conservation Egypt and Lagooni Film Production. Your support made it possible to bring this vision to life.
Stay tuned—there’s so much more to come!
